Soy Candle Making Supplies Giveaway-2014!

October 31, 2014 by SoyCandleMakingTime 156 Comments

candle-making-supplies

Winner: Amanda Bekker from Australia! Congratulations!

It’s the holiday season and I thought this would be a wonderful time to do a giveaway!  As you probably already know, I released my first eBook at the end of August and it has been doing so well. I am so thankful to all of you who have purchased it so far and to those that have contacted me letting me know that you are loving it!  It makes my day when I receive emails like that!  I thank the Lord for helping me get the book finished after working on it slowly for 2  years lol.

So, here’s the thing, because of all the sales of my book, I am able to afford to do a pretty good size giveaway. I am so excited to do this and can’t wait to see who wins!  I plan on doing more of these in the future, and maybe some smaller gift certificate giveaways too between now and Christmas where there will be more than one winner. I am researching at the moment, about which suppliers offer gift certificates.

Today we are going to start off with a bang!

The winner of this giveaway will receive $80 worth of soy candle making supplies! I was planning on only doing one kind of candle making kit, but then I decided to just go ahead and give the winner more of a choice of what they want. This giveaway is open to United States , Canadian and Australian residents only. I was hoping to be able to include more countries, but I would need to find suppliers that I could order from overseas myself in order to have it sent to the winner. I was able to find a couple Australian supply companies that I could sign up with to order online, and then ship to the winner if the winner is from that area.

So if you win, here are your choices:

  1. Tell me what type of kit you want and I will order the supplies and have it shipped to you. Choose one: Jar candles, votives, melts
  2. If you don’t need a kit and already know what supplies you like or want to just pick what you want, you can go to one of the candle making suppliers websites below and send me your list of supplies that you would like (up to $80 worth) and I will order them and have it shipped to your address.

Here are the candle making suppliers that  you can choose from if you are choosing your own supplies and not one of the kits. Your whole order will need to be from just one supplier due to shipping charges.(If you have a favorite supplier that isn’t listed, and you win the drawing, just let me know! I may or may not be able to order from them if they are outside the US).

  • Candlescience (US only)
  • Candlesoylutions (US only)
  • Natures Garden (US only)
  • Candle Cocoon (US only)
  • Aussie Candle Supplies (Australian residents only) Their GW 415 wax is out of stock until July 🙁
  • All Australian Candle Making Supplies (Australian residents only)
  • Voyageur Soap and Candle Company (Canada Only)
  • Canwax (Canada Only)

So here are the rules!

  • *Everyone must leave a comment here and tell me what supplies you would choose if you win!* AND Enter your name and email address on the contest form below.
  • Optional: Use the share buttons after you enter your name/email below to Share this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Google+. You can also copy and paste the referral url and email your friends and family so they can enter! You get an extra entry for each person that enters the giveaway by using your special referral url so share as much as you can!
  • Giveaway is for residents in the United States, Canada, and Australia only! (I really would like to include everybody, but it’s just not possible at this time! Sorry!)

Winning this would be totally awesome. I’m trying really hard to get my candle business off the ground and was going really well when I lived in a tiny coastal town.
Due to financial issues I am now receiving orders and am lacking the oils to do it.
I’d definately choose a few oils if I won to get making again.
Candle making is my passion my heart and soul goes into every single one.

If I was the winner,I would like to see a mixture of different suppliers, but keep wax EL, proper wicks for what ever container you choose for the winner, but it would be nice to keep the 8oz mason jars….I am a mason jar junkie…lol. But have sample fragrances from different suppliers that you knew that truly gave a great cold and hot throw and knew what fragrance sell well or give a basic idea of what fragrances a seller should always have in her or his candle line. It would be nice to know how many fruit, bakery, designer dupes and so on fragrances to have ones line. This what I like to see if I was the winner

Hi Rhonda, I was reading your post. And I would recommend watching the temperature of your wax and when you pour, pour at the right temperature, and slowly. As for wet spots are you using fragrance oils? if so it could be that you exceeded your percentage of fragrance load in your wax. Just a thought 🙂
I hope that these suggestions help you.

For me I would like to have some Christmas fragrances, along with good Soy wax, wicks, jars, the tools I would need to melt and pour, dyes, and warning labels. I like Candlescience, from what I have seen from their website. But I also like Mill Creek Soy as well. (they are only three hours from me). http://www.mcsoywax.com. Melissa I really appreciate what you are doing here, it is a very thoughtful idea. Candle making I hope to pass on as a trade to my children someday. Any advice would be wonderful. I would love the Jar container kit or even just the fragrance. I am new to this candle making and the fragrance is what is killing me. Unfournately the supplier that i got my holiday frangrances from are not very good and I have wasted tons of money on candle that I am not even sure i can sell. This would be a great help!!! you are amazing for doing this.

Thank you Melissa for the opportunity to help someone candle business grow! With the knowledge that you have compiled and shared with us, I have been able to sell some candles to friends and family! I am hoping that one day I can get consignment locally here in Northern California. It has been tough, being a college student and isolated from most suppliers. I love CandleSoylutions and Enchanted Lites and was sad they went out of business but American Soy Organics still continues to provide great wax, and shipping has been expensive. If I was chosen as a winner, I would like to receive a votive kit. I think my local customers really need to be provided with a relatively inexpensive candle experience. My jar and pillar candles are pricey for college students but they are my main market! So with your help (and of course your book!), I could expand and prosper! I do not believe CandleSoylutions has one, so I am open to try a new supplier!
